Philosophy

I believe in a person’s innate ability to heal. I try to create an environment that fosters natural healing and personal growth. I give clients my full and compassionate attention. Therapy is safe and confidential. In an atmosphere that is free of judgement clients are able to discover and put aside obstacles that prevent them from living the lives they want to live. They also rediscover strengths and self trust.

My therapeutic framework is eclectic, meaning I am flexible in how I approach problems.

Some difficulties are best understood in the context of the past. (psychodynamic therapy). Other problems respond to changes in current thoughts and behavior. (cognitive behavioral therapy). In the background are elements of AEDP (Accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy) which emphasizes a healing and growth orientation promoted by a connection between therapist and client.
